Youngsters at an outstanding school are lending a handing help to families who may be struggling amidst the cost-of-living crisis. The Pupil Council at The Olive School have set up the Help Yourself Hub to provide help for local families. The hub will be stocked with pre-loved items, including books and revision guides, school uniform, stationery, bags and rucksacks.
It will be created in a private area near the school's reception area, where parents and guardians can collect items free of charge at selected times during the day. Providing a discreet helping hand, the school hopes the hub will serve those facing difficult times, while also fostering a sense of community support and solidarity.
