LAHORE - The Punjab government has imposed a ban on temporarily installed mechanical swings across the province during Eid-ul-Fitr to prioritize public safety. According to a spokesperson from the Punjab Home Department, the decision has been taken to prevent potential accidents and ensure the protection of lives. The ban will be strictly enforced throughout Punjab, with the Home Department directing all Deputy Commissioners to ensure full compliance.

The spokesperson highlighted that a large number of people, including children, are expected to visit recreational parks during the Eid holidays. Many citizens will head to playgrounds, gaming zones, and amusement rides for entertainment. To mitigate safety risks, only permanently installed mechanical swings in amusement parks, theme parks, and play areas will be permitted.



However, these swings must meet strict safety requirements, including obtaining a mandatory fitness certificate. Additionally, a verification certificate from the relevant Deputy Commissioner will be required to confirm that all safety inspections and regulatory standards have been met.
