Pune Airport celebrated a big milestone on Sunday, with 200 flight movements in a single day – 100 arrivals and 100 departures. This is the first time the airport has reached this figure, as it usually handles between 185 and 190 flights daily. An airport official credited the rise in flights to new routes, including connections to Goa, Sindhudurg, and Jalgaon.

However, they mentioned that this number might not be consistent every day. “Some of these flights aren’t daily, so movements will vary. But hitting 200 is a great achievement,” the official said as quoted by Punekar News.

As the winter schedule begins on October 27, authorities are hopeful for more growth. The newly built terminal is spacious and ready for more flights, especially with the potential for new international connections. Efforts to add more routes are ongoing, with support from Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol.
