KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim's (JDT) dominance of Malaysian football has earned praise from none other than Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al Khelaifi.The French club boss sent a letter of congratulations to JDT after the Southern Tigers lifted their 11th consecutive Super League title — along with a staggering haul of trophies this season.JDT added the FA Cup, Charity Shield, Futsal Premier League, Malaysia Futsal Cup, President's Cup (Under-20), Youth Cup (Under-18), KPM/FAM Cup (Under-17) and MFL Cup (Under-23) to their silverware cabinet this year.
The other trophies were the La Liga Youth Tournament (Under-12 and Under-15) , Singapore Youth League (Under-13 and Under-15), MSSM Tournament (Under-15 and Under-17) and the SuperMokh Cup (Under-14).In the letter, posted on the Johor Southern Tigers' Facebook page, Al Khelaifi hailed the team's success as a reflection of club owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim's leadership and vision."I want to congratulate you (Tunku Mahkota Ismail) and everyone at Johor Darul Ta'zim on your historic 11th Malaysia Super League title," said Al Khelaifi.
"JDT's 11 consecutive titles since 2014 are a testament to your clear vision and leadership, supported by the talent and dedication across the club."It is equally remarkable that JDT have won 16 trophies this season, from youth to first team — further highlighting your long-term commitment to football development."As always, I remain at your disposal.
