PS5 RPG Expedition 33 Has Some of the Highest User Ratings Ever

People love Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 . Like, really love it. Not content with attracting a 92 on Metacritic from media – powered by our very own 9/10 review score – the turn-based RPG has attracted some of the highest user ratings in the history of the website.

Now, we all know user ratings don’t account for much on the aggregator, because we’ve seen various titles over the years have their scores “bombed” for various reasons. The Last of Us: Part 2 , for example, famously has a 5.8/10, which is ludicrous.



But fans are showing up in droves to show their appreciation for Sandfall Interactive’s debut, with the game currently commanding a 9.7/10 user score after attracting over 4,000 reviews. The site’s ordering system is broken, but comparing this to legendary games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (9.

1/10) and Half-Life 2 (9.1/10) demonstrates just how well it’s doing. We haven’t corroborated the numbers for ourselves, but one social media user tested the game’s user rating against the top 300 titles on Metacritic, and found that it beat them all.

This is a wild reception for a release that always had plenty of enthusiasm behind it, but wasn’t expected to be this good..
