A protest was held outside the Indian Assistant High Commission in Khulna on Monday night in response to an attack on Bangladesh's Assistant High Commission in Agartala, India. Members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement gathered at Shamsur Rahman Road around 10:30 PM to condemn the incident. The demonstrators criticized the attack on Bangladesh’s diplomatic premises, demanding accountability and swift justice for those responsible.
Protestors also raised slogans against ISKCON and India, accusing them of conspiring against Bangladesh. "An attack on Bangladesh's Assistant High Commission in India is an attack on our sovereignty. We are here to denounce such acts and will stand against all conspiracies targeting our country," said a student leader during the demonstration.
The protesters demanded swift justice for the assault on the diplomatic mission and called for those responsible to be held accountable. The protest also saw criticism directed at the Awami League government, with participants calling for accountability from former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her affiliates. Leaders such as Zahurul Islam Tanvir, Sajjadul Islam Bappi, Rafsan, and Minhajul Islam Sompod addressed the gathering.
