SCOTLAND’s prisons watchdog has been slammed after suggesting jail bosses should provide a wardrobe of wigs and women’s underwear for transgender inmates. HM Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland has advised forming a taxpayer-funded "central repository" where officers can request such items. 4 HM Inspectorate of Prisons Scotland has recommended jails provide items such as wigs and underwear for trans prisoners Credit: Alan MacGregor Ewing 4 Convicted rapist David Smith has been asking jail bosses for make-up 4 Sex offender Isla Bryson is also transitioning from a man to a woman Credit: PA 4 Campaigner Maya Forstater said: "Taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay to create dress-up boxes for these men’s sexual fantasies.

In its report, HMIPS stated: "One issue was the difficulty sourcing items to support the person on their transgender journey. Like prisons in England, SPS HQ may want to consider creating a central repository for items such as wigs, underwear etc where officers can request difficult to source items.
” But politicians and women's rights campaigners have hit out over male-bodied criminals, including violent convicted rapists David Smith and Isla Bryson , "being pandered to" with "dress-up boxes". Maya Forstater, CEO of human rights charity Sex Matters, said: “Why on earth would a prison service need a ‘repository’ for items used by cross-dressing men? Has no one in the Scottish Prison Service heard of the internet? “The bigger issue is that many men who cite a trans identity as a reason they should be permitted to cross-dress are motivated by a sexual fetish.
The items listed include women’s underwear, which rather gives the game away. "Taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay to create dress-up boxes for these men’s sexual fantasies, and prison governors should know better than to pander to them. “Items such as wigs, prosthetic vaginas and women’s underwear have previously been requested by male prisoners and refused because they are a security risk.

The Scottish Prison Service counts violent rapists and sex offenders in their 'trans population'. "Some of these men have used this to access women's prisons - and consequently vulnerable women - or to demand that intimate searches are conducted by female guards.
If these men were actually under the Gender Identity Service, they would be entitled to wigs on the NHS and there would be no need for this provision. Chilling warning issued to Glasgow’s Daniel crime mob as FIREBOMB attacks intensify across Scotland "We also know that most prisoners have to buy in their own clothes, so why should the taxpayer foot the bill for frilly underwear for violent and manipulative men who may be playing a power game or indulging a fetish?" We previously told how twisted David Smith - dubbed 'The Shinning Rapist' - had been pestering jail officers for makeup . The sicko, who wishes to be known as Attila Taylor, is serving an order for lifelong restriction at Barlinnie after being jailed for eight rapes , trying to murder his pregnant ex-girlfriend with garden shears and an indecent assault on a five-year-old.
Rapist Isla Bryson was caged in February 2023 after carrying out sex attacks on two women in Clydebank and Glasgow while known as Adam Graham. The beast wore a wig, makeup and fake nails at the High Court in Glasgow before being convicted. Scottish Tory shadow minister for equalities, Tess White, said: “Taxpayers will be appalled that the needs of male-bodied criminals are being pandered to in this vein.
“Questions will rightly be raised about the scale of effort being poured into supporting those on their 'transgender journey' given the crisis of staffing and overcrowding in Scotland’s jails.
