Primark is selling a pair of shoes that are remarkably similar to a more expensive alternative. The high street giant, known for its budget-friendly fashion and homeware, may have just launched a new crowd favourite. The Wide Fit Snaffle Slingback Heels from the retailer bear a striking resemblance to a style by designer Tom Ford, but at a fraction of the price.

Shoppers can grab the Primark version for a mere £16, while the designer version retails at a hefty £462 online. The heels are very similar, featuring an off-white, leather-look finish, slingback design and low heel. They also both sport gold-tone hardware in a nearly identical design on the front.

However, the pricier version is crafted from 100% calf leather, whereas Primark's is synthetic. The designer shoes also boast a more squared toe, while the Primark shoes are pointed. Primark's product description reads: "Take your footwear collection to new heights with these wide fit slingback court heels.

The definition of sophistication, they feature a fierce pointed toe, slimline heel and slingback strap for added security during wear," reports the Mirror . It adds: "With the neutral colourway offering them a versatile feel, the front showcases snaffle detailing to bring their chic appearance together. We can see them working well with everything from a midi skirt and blouse to a stylish jumpsuit to take your looks from day to night, whenever the occasion calls.

" The Primark shoes are priced at £16, in contrast to the Tom Ford 55mm Whitney slingback pumps which retail for £462. This indicates that shoppers could pocket a saving of approximately £446 by choosing the budget-friendly version. The Primark shoes, also available in black, can be snapped up in stores now.
