The Dallas Cowboys' run game has been underwhelming, and fans are quickly losing patience with Deuce Vaughn. Meanwhile, Dalvin Cook is biding his time on the practice squad, and many are wondering if it's time to give him a shot. Vaughn made the 53-man roster after the preseason but has yet to make an impact for the Cowboys as part of a committee with Ezekiel Elliott and Rico Dowdle.

Vaughn — a sixth-round pick in 2023 — has six total touches for 21 yards. As a team, the Cowboys rank No. 25 in the NFL with 85 yards on the ground per game.

Cook was signed to the Cowboys practice squad prior to the start of the season but hasn't seen the field yet. He is "keeping his mouth shut" for now, per Clarence Hill Jr. of All City DLLS.

"Talked to Dalvin Cook today. He said is ready to go . He is good with the offense and has been doing his thing with the scout team," Hill said.

"He believes he can help the Cowboys. But he is keeping his mouth shut and biding his time. He said the Cowboys have told him nothing.

Dalvin Cook is healthy and a Pro Bowler. Why not let him get some plays?" "Tell them to stop playing Duece," another Cowboys supporter chimed in . "He gives us absolutely nothing! I understand they are trying to get something out of their investment but he is a negative in every way possible.

Dalvin will immediately be better! Please tell them in the front office." Cook isn’t far removed from his Pro Bowl form. In 2022 with the Minnesota Vikings, he rushed for 1,173 yards and 8 touchdowns.

However, after signing with the New York Jets last season, his production dipped significantly. Cook managed only 214 yards on 67 carries over 15 games, struggling to find consistent opportunities in the offense. He was released late in the season and signed with the Baltimore Ravens, but he wasn't much of a contributor.

Establishing the run won’t get any easier for the Cowboys this week as they face a tough Baltimore Ravens defense. The Ravens currently rank No. 1 in the NFL against the run, allowing just 49.
