Here’s the whole interview: In many ways, this is a microcosm of what is happening in politics right now and what the average voter has to say about the issues discussed on the podcast, what people are thinking about this final week and a few days before the election, and even about Joe Rogan himself.
First, this appearance is quite momentous. The episode has 27 millions views on YouTube right now , and it’s not slowing down. What we’ve seen during this presidential election is that major media has taken a backseat to what I call authentic media .
This includes everything from blog posts to social media, indie websites, podcasts, and other alternative sources of news. But they are not the alternatives anymore. The cumulative effect of the alternative news sources may far outshine the major media reports, and may have a much greater impact than any of us realize.

This is a raw, unaltered interview that—despite what you may feel from a political standpoint—does certainly provide an unedited and uncensored view into the mind of the former President. (I will let others comment on what those views mean for the American people.) You can tell there was no editing whatsoever—the three-hour recording is exactly how the interview transpired.
That makes the podcast episode such a good match for social media, which is also mainly a collection of the thoughts and viewpoints of normal, everyday voters. The interview was recorded in a raw and unfiltered way, and now people are talking about it in a raw and unfiltered way. Another curious thing about the interview is whether it will lead to Kamala Harris also doing an episode of the Joe Rogan podcast. For now, her campaign has said that she has a scheduling conflict . It could be incredibly helpful at this stage to hear both candidates explain their views directly without a script or a teleprompter and could even help decide the election.
