DARLINGTON 22, MIDLAND VALLEY 15 Midland Valley's season came to an end in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs at Darlington. The Mustangs (5-6), the No. 9 seed in the Lower State as Region 4-AAAA's third-place team, took a 15-14 lead on a Preston Smith touchdown run with 6:15 remaining.
But they fumbled in Darlington territory on their next possession, and the Falcons drove for the game-winning touchdown with 27 seconds to play. OCEANSIDE COLLEGIATE 56, FOX CREEK 14 Fox Creek's season came to an end with a first-round Class AAA playoff loss at Oceanside Collegiate.
The Predators (4-6) trailed 50-0 at the half against the Landsharks, who won Region 6-AAA. CHESTER 44, STROM THURMOND 23 Strom Thurmond's season ended in the first round of the Class AA playoffs at Chester. Jay Sewell caught eight passes for 112 yards and two scores for the Rebels, and Bri'Shaun Lee passed for 251 yards and three touchdowns.

RIDGE SPRING-MONETTA 45, WARE SHOALS 28 Ridge Spring-Monetta quarterback Jaiden Holloway accounted for seven touchdowns to lead the Trojans to a road win over Ware Shoals in the first round of the Class A playoffs. Holloway rushed for five scores and passed for two to send RS-M (6-5) to a second-round game next Friday at Lewisville, a 66-0 winner over Calhoun Falls. DIXIE 42, WILLISTON-ELKO 0 Williston-Elko was shut out on the road by Dixie in the first round of the Class A playoffs.
