Joseph, who has been in the limelight for his latest film Ponman, also garnered immense praise for his performance in Pravinkoodu Shappu. His role as SI Santosh in the film won over the audiences. However, if you couldn’t catch the movie on big screens, it is now being released in the comfort of your home on an OTT platform.
Let’s find out when and where to watch the film. The OTT streaming platform SonyLIV is about to release the film Pravinkoodu Shappu, which also stars Chandini Sreedharan, Revathi, and Chemban Vinod Jose in key parts. On April 11, 2025, the movie will be available for streaming.
The official social media handle of SonyLiv shared an announcement post, writing, “Get ready to step into a mystery that will pull you in, mess with your head, and refuse to let go. #PravinkooduShappu streaming from April 11 on Sony LIV." Basil has been impressing both critics and audiences with his powerful performances.
The actor has also shown his versatility by playing several parts in thrillers like Sookshmadarshini and comedies like Nunakkuzhi and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Eleven people spent the night drinking and playing cards inside the shop after it was forced to close due to the weather.
But the following morning, Komban Babu, the owner of the store, is discovered hanging in the middle of the property. The police, led by SI Santosh (Basil Joseph), now have to investigate the people in the shop to find Komban Babu’s killer and why his body was hanged in the store. What follows is a case full of humour and some twists and turns.
Director Anwar Rasheed produced the movie under his company, Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. The story was written by Sreeraj Sreenivasan. Vijo Amaravathy, Niyas Backer and Soubin Shahir are also part of the star cast.
