This marked the first head-to-head meeting between Daniels and Eagles superstar Jalen Hurts , who is determined to guide his team back to the Super Bowl like he did in 2022-23 Though the game wasn't an offensive fireworks display, both quarterbacks avoided significant mistakes, with the focus shifting to outstanding defensive plays and the running backs. After trailing at halftime, the Eagles made critical adjustments, overcame some kicking woes, and mounted a comeback to secure a massive 26-18 win after a dominant fourth-quarter performance by Saquon Barkley.

Daniels wasn’t at his sharpest Thursday night, completing 22 of 32 passing attempts for 191 passing yards, one passing touchdown, one interception, and rushing 7 times for 18 yards.

Screen Capture/Prime Video Barkley was the story of the game, especially in the second half. He rushed a staggering 26 times for 146 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and also hauled in two receptions for 52 yards. He continued his dominant year in his first season with the Eagles.

Now, Philadelphia improves to 8-2 on the season, having strung together six consecutive victories after starting the year 2-2. Both sides of the football have truly played complementary football, and it showed in the second half. This is only the first of what will be many close, high-stakes showdowns between the star quarterbacks.
