It is a great honor to serve Naugatuck as your postmaster. In my 18 years with the United States Postal Service, I have seen firsthand the role the Postal Service plays connecting neighbors and our community to the nation. Our Post Offices serve as a lifeline for our small businesses to reach customers no matter where they are.
I wanted to share some exciting news about recent accomplishments at Naugatuck Post Office. Three of our longtime letter carriers hit a milestone that many drivers strive for. Each employee successfully completed 30 years of service (roughly 1 million miles worth of driving) without a preventable accident.
That is equivalent to traveling to the moon and back twice! The three employees received a Million Mile Award from the National Safety Council and were inducted into the Million Mile Club. Letter carriers honored with this achievement were Michael Eureka (31 years of service), Augusto Lopes (31 years of service) and Raymond Lesko Jr. (34 years of service).
Just as the Postal Service continues to provide a vital service for our nation, the staff of the Naugatuck Post Office will proudly continue that same public service in this community. We are proud that excellence and safety are at the forefront of our commitment to serving the community of Naugatuck and we thank our customers for their continued support. Brian Falcha Naugatuck.
