1 2 Prayagraj: State industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta "Nandi" on Thursday stated that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the cultural, economic and industrial development capital of the country and established itself as a role model of "safe environment-safe investment". "Before 2017, there was an identity crisis for the state. The people, including traders, daughters and industrialists, were feeling unsafe.
However, after 2017, the new Uttar Pradesh of New India has emerged as the growth engine of the country's economy," he said. The minister was speaking on the third day of celebrations to mark the completion of eight years of the state govt's policy of service, security, and good governance at the zila panchayat campus. He claimed that UP was progressing fast under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
"Effective and prompt schemes have been implemented for the empowerment of basic facilities, improvement of law and order, industrial investment, increase in export and employment opportunities, and welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. As a result, the state has become a model of development in the country," he said. He claimed that the double engine govt has opened the door for the uplift of every sector and class by assimilating the mantra of public welfare and Antyodaya.
"Our govt has realised the commitment of the Prime Minister's resolution Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas-Sabka Prayas on the ground," he said. Nandi said this development journey, which began in 2017, received the blessings and support of the people of Uttar Pradesh. The minister said the historic Maha Kumbh-2025 introduced the world to the height of India's vast cultural consciousness and Sanatan values.
"These eight years have been dedicated to the service, security, and good governance of 24 crore people of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from industrial development and public welfare, the state govt improved the law and order situation while tightening the noose around goons and mafias," Nandi said. The minister said UP was moving fast towards becoming a one trillion-dollar economy by strengthening investment, manufacturing and export.
"Through events like the Global Investor Summit , investors from the country and the world are participating in the industrial development journey of Uttar Pradesh," he said. He claimed that UP is also number one in the country in the field of infrastructure development and connectivity.
