Overnight has seen the likelihood of rain, as cloud cover persisted and southwesterly winds gusted up to 21 mph. The temperature dropped to around 41 degrees but felt chillier due to the wind chill factor.

According to an NWS update, Thursday is set to bring more rain, with a 100% chance of precipitation and new rainfall amounting to up to half an inch.The NWS detailed forecast indicates that the south-southwest wind will continue through Thursday at around 11 mph, with gusts possibly reaching 22 mph. Thursday night won't offer much respite, as the rain is expected to continue, with the temperature holding steady near 47 degrees.



Gusts may intensify, hitting as high as 25 mph, and a chance of precipitation hovering at 90%. Portland residents will need to prepare for a soggy end to their workweek, with rain forecasted throughout Friday as well.But it's not all dreary news; the weekend hints at a slight improvement.

Showers are likely before 11:00 p.m. on Friday night, after which the intensity seems to taper off with a lower probability of showers, at 30%, on Saturday.

The weather begins to shift more noticeably by Monday when Portlanders can anticipate a partly sunny day with the mercury climbing to near 70 degrees.Spring warmth is on the horizon, with Tuesday predicted to be mostly sunny and temperatures reaching a pleasant 74 degrees. However, the clear skies are not expected to last, as there's a chance of rain returning by next Wednesday.
