The NWS's Portland office has reported that starting from later today, there's an 80% chance of precipitation, which could bring rainfall amounts ranging between a quarter and half an inch.According to the latest update from the NWS, the weather is set to take a turn around 2 p.
m., with possible severe thunderstorms expected later in the afternoon. Today, "A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2pm and 4pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm.

However, a brief respite might appear on Saturday night with partly cloudy skies before the clouds regather and showers increase once again on Sunday.Looking into next week, the same pattern holds true with showers forecasted to persist through Tuesday. Cooler temperatures will also set in, with highs hovering in the mid-50s.
