There are many New Orleans Saints fans who want Jalon Walker, but the odds of Walker making it past the Carolina Panthers seem slimmer by the day. The Panthers and Walker is a logical pairing, on paper. Carolina needs a new dynamic edge rusher after trading Brian Burns year ago, and Walker is one of the best edge rushers in the class.
The logic grows beyond team needs and talent as the two sides praise each other. Dave Canales raved about Walker after talking to his teammates. “Every single Georgia Bulldog we talk to, they talk about Jalon Walker.
They talk about the accountability, The way he pulls the whole group together, the way he plays with his hair on his fire and communicates and all those things. I think there are just some intangibles about the guy that are really special,” Canales told Kay Adams. The praise is reciprocated.
Walker, born and raised in the Carolinas, has belief in the Panthers’ staff. “Their staff is great," Walker said. "That whole staff in general, they have a mission and they have a plan to bring up the dynasty of the Carolina Panthers once again.
I’m excited to see what they have planned.”The coach praises the player. The player praises the entire staff and even goes as far as they can be dynasty.
We’re watching a public love affair before our eyes. Canales recently stated the team’s focus on defense first. Grabbing a player like Walker in the first round would align with this philosophy.
