Cowdray’s Wild West maize maze returns Aug 1 with flower picking, live music, film nights, and family fun.

Cowdray's popular maize maze is back this summer with a Wild West theme. The maze, which has been a hit for the past two years, will open in August and will also feature a sunflower and wildflower picking patch. Nick McDonald, Cowdray's estate land manager, said: "We are so excited to launch this year’s maize maze, with many fun activities for everyone – young and old, families and friends, whether it’s a fun day out or enjoying our evening’s entertainment in this idyllic setting.

"Visitors can enjoy exploring the maze, completing the stamp trail, and take in the scenery from our viewing bridge. "You can also wander through our sunflower and wildflower picking patch to take a bunch home for yourself." The maze will be open seven days a week from August 1, with standard entry priced at £7.

50. Children aged three and under can enter for free. There will also be a range of refreshments available from the Cowdray Maze Café outlet.

As well as the maze, there will be a range of other entertainment throughout August. On Friday nights, there will be ‘Sip and Snip’ evenings where visitors can explore the maze, pick their own flowers, and enjoy a drink while listening to live acoustic music. On August 9, Cowdray's inaugural Harvest Hoe Down will take place, featuring music from The Honky Tonk Angels, Wild West themed activities, a fully licensed bar, and locally sourced food from The Yellow Kitchen.

A weekend of film nights has also been introduced, with Rocketman showing on August 22, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly on August 23, and Barbie on August 24. Children’s films will be shown free of charge in the marquee during the day on the film nights weekend. Mr McDonald added: "There is a range of evening entertainment including a night of country music and popular film nights.

"We can’t wait to welcome you for a fun-filled Wild West adventure this summer." Tickets for general entry and selected events are now available to purchase. For more information and to book tickets, visit the Cowdray website.
