Indian Cottage has been in Road, Ringwood, for the past 43 years and staff are “excited” to be celebrating the two events on October 31. The restaurant will be lit up by Diwali-inspired lighting along with a twist of Halloween-themed décor. Guests are invited to wear their favourite costumes and share in the spirit of both celebrations.

Sarah Choudhury, of Indian Cottage, said: “We invite everyone in Ringwood and beyond to celebrate this unique occasion with us at India Cottage. “Diwali is a celebration of light: everywhere you look you’ll see light, helping to keep the winter dark at bay. “This is the biggest festival in the Hindu calendar, and the name literally means ‘festival of lights’.

It honours the goddess Lakshmi. “Let's create unforgettable memories while embracing the beauty of cultural diversity.” She added: “While we won't be introducing a special menu, our regular offerings will be available, highlighting the rich and diverse flavours of India that our customers have come to love.
