It is set to be one of the cutest and most educational things to do over the school holidays

Families can experience a “cuteness overload” this Easter, as Marsh Farm welcomes fluffy chicks, bouncy bunnies and leaping lambs just in time for the school holidays. The animal adventure park in South Woodham Ferrers is hoping to welcome thousands of families to its two half-term events, as it gears up for Easter. Lucy Staab, general manager at Marsh Farm, says the new arrivals will give children an “extra special” spring experience.

She said: “For many of the children visiting us this Easter, this is the first time they will have ever seen a rabbit, chick or lamb in real life. “We are giving our visitors the opportunity to get up close to these adorable animals and experience an absolute cuteness overload! We’ve been teasing our new animals on social media over the last few days, and the response has been terrific. We can’t wait to welcome families from all over the county and further afield over the next few weeks!” Read more: 'I visited the cosy Chelmsford café a haunt for celebs with brilliant breakfasts' Read more: The little-known Essex island nobody can walk to full of spooky tales Springtime festivities will kick off with the Spring Spectacular this Saturday (April 5).

The event will introduce Marsh Farm’s Spring Trail, encouraging children to use their senses to explore the farm and meet animals such as rabbits and kunekune pigs on the way. Then, the Easter Egg-stravaganza starts next week, from April 12, when Marsh Farm will officially unveil the brand new Egg Museum. Children can learn all about the history of the Easter egg, in a one-of-a-kind educational experience.

Featuring giant Easter eggs, the exhibit is only open for the Egg-stravaganza, running until Bank Holiday Monday (April 21). Lucy added: “Throughout the Easter holidays, we’re offering totally unique experiences for families to make unforgettable memories. “Our Egg Museum is especially EGG-citing, because we believe it is the only one in the country! It’s fun, educational and offers great value, which is at the heart of everything we do.

” Marsh Farm’s new bunny rabbits, chick hatchery and lamb enclosure are all included with entry to Marsh Farm’s Easter events. Entry to the Spring Trail and Egg Museum are included with admission to each event - along with meeting the spring lambs, chicks and bunny rabbits. Parents are encouraged to save money on entry by booking tickets online.
