Cameo Nightclub, in Fir Vale Road, will host its Country Day Party on Saturday, May 3. Partygoers are encouraged to wear cowboy hats and boots to the event, as the venue will be transformed with themed décor. DJs will play a range of country music from 3pm to 8pm, with hits from old school and modern country artists such as Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

This event comes as country music is said to be enjoying a resurgence in the UK. Official Charts data reported a 67 per cent year-on-year growth in combined sales and streaming-equivalent sales of country singles to May 2024. Marc Fear, venue manager of Cameo Bournemouth, said: "The country music scene has grown hugely in recent years and what better way to bring all the hits together than at our Country Day Party? "We’re also seeing greater demand for daytime events, so combining these two trends is going to create an epic party.

" Cameo will also feature Instagrammable backdrops to help attendees capture memories of the day. For more details and ticket prices, visit Cameo's website..
