Poorva Gokhale; with Chandni Sharma in the show Poorva Gokhale , who is currently seen in Jhanak , playing the negative lead, has quit the show. The actress, who has been playing the role of Srishti Mukherjee, a dancer in the show, has quit after almost a year. Poorva said, "It was a mutual decision after I spoke with the makers about my wish to bid adieu to the show.
It has been one year of playing Srishti Mukherjee and for the past few months I had been wanting to do more but creatively my character was not growing so I decided to move out. The makers also tried but eventually they supported my decision." Sharing how she enjoyed playing the role, Poorva said, "The scenes where I was showing a lot of protection and love for my daughter Arshi (Chandni Sharma) in the show are very close to me.
It brought out the real mom in me. In real life I am a mother of two daughters so inspite of my character being vicious, I felt that it had a certain softness and motherly care when it came to her first daughter Arshi." Ask her what she plans to do next and Poorva said, "I will look for other interesting opportunities.
It was an interesting journey playing Srishti in Jhanak and I had a good time shooting for the show. In TV , we need more challenging roles and I am hoping it will change soon. I am hoping that something good comes my way.
