Pooja wore a bright yellow oversized shirt and blue striped pants for her recent Mumbai outing. Pooja Hegde is currently busy with the shoot of her forthcoming project, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Helmed by David Dhawan, the film features the actress opposite Varun Dhawan.
Amid her packed schedule, Pooja recently made head turns with her casual yet stylish look as she got papped outside production house Roy Kapur Films’ office in Mumbai on Thursday. In a video shared on Instagram by a popular paparazzo page, Pooja Hegde was seen coming out of her vehicle and posing in front of the shutterbugs stationed at the location. The Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actress kept it casual in a bright yellow oversized shirt, which she paired with blue striped pants and white sneakers.
She accessorised her look with a denim Dior saddlebag, blue earrings and a golden wristwatch. Take a look: Pooja Hegde made her acting debut in the 2012 Tamil film Mugamoodi. After that, she appeared in several big-budgeted Hindi and other regional language films, like Mohenjo Daro, Housefull 4, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, Radhe Shyam, Beast, Acharya, Cirkus, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and others.
Recently, in an interview with Etimes, she talked about why she chooses to audition for roles and how female actors are often typecast in the industry. Pooja Hegde said, “Filmmakers have a certain perception about actors, especially female actors as we tend to get typecast easily. That’s why I feel it’s important to audition and showcase your traits that haven’t been explored yet.
I’m not afraid of working hard and putting myself out there." She added, “You can’t let your ego interfere with your craft. Many people don’t get the privilege of being called for an audition, so when the opportunity arises, you should take it up.
In the West, some of the biggest stars still audition, so why not here?" Workwise, Pooja Hegde was last seen in the action thriller film Deva opposite Shahid Kapoor. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film garnered decent responses from fans and critics. In Deva, Pooja played the role of a journalist and Shahid’s love interest.
She will be next seen in the much—awaited Tamil action drama Retro: Love Laughter War, alongside South star Suriya. The film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Jyothika and Suriya himself. Apart from that, she also has Rajinikanth’s Coolie, in which she will be seen in a cameo appearance, Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan and Kanchana 4 in the line-up.
