LAHORE - Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, has issued orders for cash rewards and certificates of appreciation to recognize the courage and bravery of the officers and personnel who secured the country’s internal borders. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, stating that IG Punjab has approved cash rewards of Rs740,000 and certificates of appreciation for 37 officers and personnel who thwarted a terrorist attack by Khawarji terrorists at the Lakhani check post. It is worth noting that these officers and personnel successfully prevented the attack on March 28.
During the search operation, the death of two terrorists was confirmed, and a large number of terrorists were reported to be wounded. Dr Usman Anwar, IG Punjab, expressed that the bravery displayed by these officers and personnel in foiling the Khawarji terrorist attack is commendable and a matter of pride. He reaffirmed that the Punjab Police is alert and will not allow Khawarji terrorists to enter Punjab.
He added that every officer of the Punjab Police is a steel wall against terrorists, troublemakers, and criminals.
