Police: No threat to community after shots fired near school

SUISUN CITY — A man took his life near Crystal Middle School about 2 p.m. Saturday.

The man was identified by the Solano County Sheriff-Coroner's Office as James Figaniak, 46, of Suisun City. Suisun City Police and Fire personnel responded to the scene. The police noted on social media Sunday, while the incident took place near the Crystal Middle School, the school was closed and the incident did not involve any students, staff or the school grounds.



"We understand that events like this can be concerning, but please rest assured that the situation does not pose any immediate risk to our school or its community," the department posted on Facebook. "We would also like to extend our deepest condolences to those in the community who are impacted by this incident.".
