Police are investigating the suspected drowning of a British visitor whose body was discovered unresponsive at Deia Beach, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church. The incident occurred at around 12:30 p.m today.
According to reports, a beachgoer spotted the unresponsive individual and pulled him to shore. Police officers from the Oistins Station arrived at the scene and found the body of a male who was identified as Kevin Davis, 67, staying at the Barbados Beach Club located on Maxwell Coast Road. A medical doctor pronounced Davis dead at the scene and a close family member later confirmed his identity.
Investigations are ongoing and the police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist with their inquiries.
