Police introduce no fly zone around Hampden during Celtic v Rangers cup final

Officers say the no fly zone will be introduced in the area surrounding the national stadium between 1pm and 7pm on Sunday. No aircraft without crew is permitted within a one nautical mile radius of the stadium and up to a height of 1,000ft, without permission of Police Scotland during this time. Celtic and Rangers are to square off in the Premier Sports Cup final, set to kick off at 3.

A Police Scotland statement read: “An air restriction zone will be in place in the area surrounding Hampden Park in Glasgow between 1pm and 7pm on Sunday, December 15. “No uncrewed aircraft is permitted in the area within a one nautical mile radius of the stadium, up to a height of 1,000ft, without permission of Police Scotland during this time.
