The Jigawa State Police Command has hailed the residents of Jigawa State for remaining vigilant and cooperating with security personnel during the Ramadan and the Eid el-Fitr celebrations. Earlier, the command encouraged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by reporting any suspicious activity to the nearest police station for prompt actions. The Jigawa Police had also on Saturday warned parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their children’s activities during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
This warning was contained in a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, on Saturday night in Dutse, the state capital. According to Adam, while the police were committed to ensuring a peaceful and incident-free celebration, “We urge parents and guardians to monitor their children and ensure they celebrate in accordance with the law,” he said. The police command also reminded “residents of the ban on the use of fireworks and other explosive devices, which could pose security risks or cause panic among residents.
