The Police Academy star, 66, filed for divorce from Emily on Friday, April 4, according to court documents obtained by TMZ .

The actor cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason behind their split, however he did not list a date of their separation. Instead of a specific date, he wrote 'TBD', for 'to be determined' in that section of the documents. The estranged pair had a prenuptial agreement in place, which will determine the division of any community property assets and debts.



In his filing, Steve agreed to pay Emily spousal support and requested that each party cover their own future legal fees and costs. Steve Guttenberg, 66, has filed for divorce from wife Emily Smith after six years of marriage; they are seen in 2018 Steve and Emily said 'I do' in January 2019 and they do not have any children together.
