Pokemon set to break Guinness World Record with huge 24-hour livestream

The company behind Pikachu and pals is teaming up with content creators across Europe to stage a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest live unboxing, and it'll be broadcasting it via and . The stream, which will take place over 24 hours later this month, is tied to the Scarlet and Violet - Surging Sparks Pokemon Trading Card Game set, which launched on Friday.

Will you be tuning in to watch? The ambitious stream kicks off at midday UK time on November 21, and runs until November 22, and will showcase thousands of Pokemon cards and a whole host of merch - including some unrevealed 'surprises and special products'. You'll be able to watch along via the Pokemon Company's and channels, with each offering opportunities to win prizes. As for Surging Sparks, the latest expansion to the long-running card game adds cards themed around the Terrarium in The Indigo Disk DLC for the latest Nintendo Switch games.
