The resumption of service comes after a PNR inspection train was derailed after being hit by a tanker truck along Palayon Crossing in Nabua, Camarines Sur on Saturday. “The PNR said its inspection train was clearing the tracks for obstruction to give way to the ensuing passenger train en route to Legazpi.
The affected inspection train has already been rerailed,” DOTr said in a statement. It added that the driver of the truck was brought to hospital and is currently in stable condition. Meanwhile, the PNP train operator was not injured.
