PNDT Act: Scan centre sealed

Ludhiana: The district health department has sealed a scan centre for violating the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC-PNDT) Act. District Family Welfare Officer Ramandeep Kaur said the centre was found to be in violation of documentation rules during an inspection. Civil surgeon Dr Pardeep Kumar said despite warnings, the centre’s response was unsatisfactory, leading to this raid.
