PM Modi's US visit: From Quad Summit to bilateral talks, know the full itinerary

The Quad Leaders’ Summit will focus on reviewing progress achieved in the last year and further setting the agenda for the year ahead to support the countries of the Indo-Pacific region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit the US where he will take part in the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, from September 21 to 23. Hosted by US President Joe Biden, the Summit involves India, Japan, Australia and the US. At the Quad Summit, the Prime Minister and other leaders will review the progress achieved by the Quad in the last year and further set the agenda for the year ahead to support the countries of the Indo-Pacific region to meet their development goals and aspirations, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.

PM Modi is also scheduled to address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 23. Global leaders from several nations are expected to take part in the Summit, the theme for which is ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’. On the sidelines of the Summit, PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with multiple world leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest, the ministry noted.



Besides this, Prime Minister Modi will also be addressing a huge gathering of the Indian community in New York on September 22. He will also engage with CEOs of several leading US-based companies to enhance collaborations between both nations in several technological areas, including quantum computing, biotechnology, artificial intelligence and semiconductors. The Indian Prime Minister is expected to hold talks with thought leaders as well as other stakeholders active in the India-US bilateral landscape.

Meanwhile, former US president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Tuesday said he will meet Prime Minister Modi during his US visit next week. Trump, who is eyeing another term as the US president in the November 5 US presidential polls, announced while addressing a town hall meeting in Flint, Michigan. "He (Modi) happens to be coming to meet me next week, and Modi, he's fantastic.
