KOHLAPUR, Apr 5: The Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) is organising a ‘Navkar Mahamantra’ day on April 9 at 6,000 places across the country and in 108 countries of the world, on the occasion of ‘Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti’ for world peace. The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on April 9 morning.In a press conference here, Pruthivraj Kothari, president of JITO Apex institution, said that amid the backdrop of increasing wars, conflicts, terrorism, misdeeds and violence all over the world, JITO has decided to organise a ‘Navkar Mahamantra’ day at 6,000 places in the country, including at 12 tehsil places of this district, and 108 countries, for world peace.
A total of one crore and eight lakh people will participate in the event, he said.Kothari said “This Mantra brings about self-improvement and gives direction to the path of salvation. By reciting collectively this Mantra, a universal energy is created and happiness and peace will spread throughout the world.
