Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched the "Subhadra" scheme in Odisha , a flagship initiative by the state government. The program is designed to benefit over one crore women across the state. Under this scheme, eligible women beneficiaries aged between 21 and 60 years will receive financial assistance of ₹50,000 over a period of five years through direct bank transfers linked to both Aadhaar and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

PM Modi inaugurates projects worth over ₹3,800 crore In addition to launching the Subhadra scheme, PM Modi also inaugurated Railway Projects valued at over ₹2,800 crore in Bhubaneswar . He laid the foundation stone for National Highway Projects worth more than ₹1,000 crore. The prime minister then disbursed the initial installment of assistance to approximately 10 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G, spanning around 14 states.



PM Modi emphasizes women empowerment in inaugural speech During his inaugural speech, PM Modi emphasized the importance of women empowerment and Odisha's development. "Any country, any state progresses only when half of its population, that is, our women power, has equal participation in its development," he said. He added that the advancement of women and increasing their empowerment will be key to Odisha's development.

PM Modi highlights NDA government's 100-day achievements Marking the 100th day of the NDA government at the Centre, PM Modi highlighted key initiatives implemented for empowering various sectors of society. He mentioned significant decisions taken for the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. He also announced that 75,000 additional medical seats have been sanctioned across India, benefiting Odisha and other states.
