LAHORE - Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi separately met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday to brief him on the security situation in Balochistan and across the country. They also extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the prime minister.

During his meeting with the prime minister, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti held in-depth discussions on the economic, social, and law and order situation in Balochistan. They also reviewed the progress of federal development projects in the province. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to Balochistan’s development, emphasising that it remains a top priority.



He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to support the province’s growth and stability. Armed Forces, LEAs, people of KP always braved against terrorism: COAS Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi provided an update on national security matters and key developments across the country. He also briefed the prime minister on the progress of the repatriation process of Afghan nationals.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the overall law and order situation, particularly during Eid. Various matters related to the interior ministry were also discussed during the meeting. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday to discuss the overall law and order situation in Punjab.

During the meeting, they reviewed security concerns, particularly in the Kachha area, and discussed the management of provincial border posts. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in countering Khawarij terrorists and enhancing law enforcement efforts to improve stability in the province. The discussions underscored the government’s resolve to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain peace through coordinated security strategies.
