After giving a remarkable performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, Parineeti Chopra is all set to make her OTT series debut with one of Netflix’s projects. The actress, who is busy with the shoot of her first series, often takes to her Instagram account to keep her fans updated about her life.
Similarly, on Tuesday, April 1, she gave her fans another peek into her shooting diaries. Taking to her Instagram stories, the 36-year-old actress shared a brief clip where she could be seen basking in the sun amid the picturesque hills of Himachal Pradesh. Dressed in a green full-sleeved outfit with her hair open, she was seen winking at the camera, thoroughly enjoying her day while the shooting was in full swing in the background.
Before sharing her video, Parineeti gave her fans and followers a glimpse of the breathtaking hills of Chail, Himachal Pradesh. While the first half of the clip highlighted the tranquil beauty of the location, the next half showcased the chaos of what goes on behind the camera during a shoot. She did not write a caption.
Instead, Parineeti shared the video with a Netflix sticker. Back in February, the streaming giant announced that Bollywood’s favourite girl-next-door, Parineeti, would be making her Netflix debut, not with a rom-com but with a thriller series. Her upcoming mystery thriller, set in the picturesque hills of Shimla, is being produced by Siddharth P Malhotra, director of Maharaj and Sapna Malhotra of Alchemy Productions.
The unnamed project is being written and directed by the visionary writer Rensil D’Silva of Rang De Basanti and Ungli fame. Apart from Parineeti, the series would feature Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anup Soni, Jennifer Winget, Chaitannya Choudhry, Harleen Sethi and Soni Razdan. On February 25, Parineeti took to her Instagram account to share a post announcing this exciting news to her fans.
She penned a note to create more buzz surrounding her series debut. The actress wrote, “‘Some mysteries don’t just unfold – they pull you in, keep you guessing, and refuse to let go.’ A new mystery thriller series is in the making! Can’t wait for you all to see this labour of love from Team Netflix and us, when it’s ready! Shooting had begun .
