HIGH SCHOOL | WEEK 8 Scottsbluff is all but assured of having at least one home game for the Class B state football postseason, and Gering is in position to do the same as well with one week left in the regular season. Scottsbluff , which also is fifth in the Class B power points, closes out its schedule at York on Friday.

"Winning a district championship, that was goal No. 1," Bearcats coach Jud Hall said on the 107.3 FM postgame show.
