WREXHAM were denied victory against Charlton Athletic after conceding a controversial penalty deep into stoppage time. Phil Parkinson's men had to settle for a point following the 2-2 draw in League One but it was a superb away performance at The Valley. Here's how the players rated.

ARTHUR OKONKWO: Made a couple of decent saves, beaten by a looping header and penalty. 6 MAX CLEWORTH: Dealt well with the tricky Campbell and linked up with Barnett going forward. Unlucky with penalty decision.

7 DAN SCARR: Another magnificent performance in centre of defence and is showing why he was brought to the club in the summer. 8 TOM O’CONNOR: Solid in defence and good with the ball. His free-kick was deflected in for the opener.

7 RYAN BARNETT: Asked a lot of questions down the right but not as effective as he has been. 6 OLLIE RATHBONE: Drove Wrexham forward and wasn’t afraid to get a shot away. 7 GEORGE DOBSON: Ran the show in midfield, doing the dirty work as well as producing some magical moments when Wrexham attacked.

9 ELLIOT LEE: Unlucky not to score when he hit the bar and in the thick of it after the break. 7 JAMES MCCLEAN: The Reds’ captain put in a good shift and was move involved attacking-wise in the second half. 6 PAUL MULLIN: Couldn’t fault the effort and he had a little hand in the second goal.

6 OLLIE PALMER: Hold up play was superb and he worked so hard for the team, helping Wrexham cause problems going forward. 8 SUBSTITUTES ANDY CANNON: Made an immediate impact, scoring just one minute after coming on. 7 SEBASTIAN REVAN: Conceded free-kick which led to penalty but Wrexham could have done better in possession before it.

5 MO FAAL: Fresh legs in attack late on. 5.
