An application to use a home to care for up to five children has been met with anti-social behaviour claims. South Holland District Council’s planning committee will meet today (Wednesday April 2) to discuss Mr D. John’s plans for his property at 19 Langwith Drive, Holbeach - a two-storey detached dwelling on a cul-de-sac.

MP Sir John Hayes and 12 members of the public have sent representations regarding the scheme. Concerns raised include anti-social behaviour, noise disturbance, the potential devaluing of neighbouring properties, and a lack of consultation with neighbours. As the request is for a lawful development certificate - which provides formal confirmation that a proposed use of the building is acceptable - rather than planning permission, third party consultation is not required.
