Super Tenor Yang Seung-ho, renowned for his unparalleled presence on classical and musical stages both domestically and internationally, is expanding the boundaries of music, leaving a profound impression on fans worldwide. Graduating at the top of his class from the Department of Vocal Music at Sangmyung University, he continued to achieve academic excellence by being accepted as the top student at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia, Spain. Yang further honed his skills in both singing and acting by participating in the Young Artist Program at the prestigious Plácido Domingo Centre.
His performances as the leading roles in Rigoletto and L'elisir d’amore at Teatro Principal in Valencia were met with resounding acclaim. On the domestic stage, he deeply moved audiences by portraying patriot Yun Bong-gil in the creative opera Maeheon Yun Bong-gil, perfectly harmonizing Korean history and art. Beyond opera stages, Yang Seung-ho is actively working to popularize classical music through his YouTube channel, Super Tenor Yang Seung-ho.
His passion extends beyond music, striving to introduce Korean culture to the world. At the Overseas Yi Yuk-sa Literature Festival held at the University of Tokyo, he performed musical renditions of Yi Yuk-sa’s poetry, contributing to Korea-Japan cultural exchange. Most recently, at the 2024 Korea Social Contribution Awards hosted by STN Broadcasting, Yang delivered a breathtaking performance of Il Mondo.
His lyrical expression and powerful emotional delivery captivated the audience, elevating the stature of the ceremony, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions across various fields. Meanwhile, crossover tenor Park Wan has also been offering audiences another dimension of musical inspiration with his profound tone and delicate musical sensibility. Debuting in 2005 with the Japanese performance of the musical Winter Sonata, Park earned the nickname "The Eternal Emperor Gojong" for his ten-year portrayal of Emperor Gojong in the musical The Last Empress.
His artistic journey has seamlessly bridged classical, musical theater, and crossover genres, creating deep emotional resonance with his audiences. Park’s career extends beyond performances. As an artistic director, he has collaborated with world-renowned artists to further the growth of crossover music.
His accomplishments include performing at the White House during Memorial Day celebrations in the United States. Notably, he also served as a co-host alongside Dr. Jeon Seol at the 2024 Korea Social Contribution Awards, where his poised and elegant hosting emphasized the significance of celebrating the achievements of those who have devoted themselves to social and cultural contributions.
