Police are gathering evidence as a teenage man is in custody following the death of a man in Brighton. Emergency services responded to a report of a man attacking multiple people inside an address in Hartfield Avenue shortly before 7.30am on Tuesday (1 April).
Officers attended and found a 57-year-old man inside the property with significant injuries. A woman and a boy were also located at the address with serious injuries, and have been taken to hospital for treatment.
A 19-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at this time. Pictures taken at the scene show a large police cordon around the house involved, with officers stationed at the edge. Forensics teams can be seen going in and out of the property.
Sussex Police said there would be a heightened police presence in the area today..
