Hundreds of runners, adults and children alike, took part in this year’s TC10K run. The first runners set off at 8 a.m.
on April 27 at the corner of Menzies and Superior Streets in James Bay, behind the B.C. Legislature, for the 10-kilometre race.
Victoria’s Liam Donnelly recorded the fastest men's time, crossing the finish line in 29:48. Vancouver’s Dayna Pidhoresky clocked the fastest women's time, finishing in 33:51. As the last 10K runners gradually trickled in, participants refuelled with snacks before making way for runners with shorter legs at 11 a.
m. Accompanied by parents, loved ones, or proudly running alone, a wave of young runners bolted from the start line in front of the legislature to take part in the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run.
