Community Foundation Santa Cruz County held its annual Celebration of Giving event recently to thank donors, supporters, staff and board members.

The sun shines bright over the vineyards of Lester Estate Wines on Friday as Community Foundation Santa Cruz County held its annual Celebration of Giving event to thank donors, supporters, staff and board members. The foundation, whose work follows the guiding principle of bringing together "local nonprofits, caring donors, and community leaders to benefit the people of Santa Cruz County, now and in the future," named attorney Leola Lapides as an honorary trustee. Lapides and her attorney husband Bob Katz have lived in Santa Cruz County since 1979, and have volunteered for, served on the Board of Directors, and advised local nonprofits including Monarch Services, Watsonville Law Center, CASA, the Cabrillo College Foundation and Community Foundation Santa Cruz County.
