Michael's Church in Newquay, Cornwall, on Friday, 8 November. In an intimate gathering, he was joined by close family, including his former wife Stephanie and their daughters Ruby and Molly. Phillip, 62, was seen carrying his mother's casket, with Stephanie taking care to look after Phillip's dog, who was also present for the ceremony.



The service was made even more poignant by a touching musical homage from the Cornish Kernow Men's Choir. Inside, framed pictures of Patricia stood as tokens of her memory, inviting those present to honour her life. Former This Morning presenter Phillip took to Instagram last month to share the news of his mother's passing , posting: "Over three days, we held her, loved her, hugged her and said everything that needed to be said.

" The wicker casket, adorned with a floral display that included white roses, was carefully placed into the hearse by pallbearers after the service. For the sombre occasion, Phillip donned a pale shirt paired with a navy jacket, dark trousers, and black shoes, while his wife Stephanie chose a coordinated blue jumper and skirt complemented by black boots. Their daughters Molly and Ruby wrapped up in black coats outside the church, with Molly in a teal dress and Ruby in a dark green number for their grandmother's funeral.

Last month, Phillip took to Instagram to share the sad news of his mother's passing, revealing she had "decided it was time" to join his late father Brian Schofield, who died in 2008. He expressed his emotions to his followers, writing: "After a heartbreaking weekend, my magnificent mum decided it was time to go to her beloved Brian. Over three days, we held her, loved her, hugged her and said everything that needed to be said.

" The former Dancing On Ice host continued his heartfelt tribute to Patricia, writing: "She was calm, peaceful, beautiful and dignified. I will forever be proud and privileged that she was my mum." Phillip also expressed his gratitude to the medical staff, saying: "Our eternal thanks to the paramedics.

Treliske A&E and Critical Care team who have been, in the past and this weekend, my mum's and our angels. Your love and care has been our saviour." Just days after Pat's death, Phillip shared a poignant family tradition on social media.

He posted a picture of a classic fish and chips meal inside his car against a backdrop of a rainy coastal scene, hinting at finding solace in familiarity amidst the gloomy weather. His caption read: "Keeping up the family tradition. Flounders fish on the headland.

" During a challenging period for the former Dancing On Ice presenter in 2023, Phillip retreated to Cornwall to be with his mother, escaping the spotlight and spending quality time by the seaside with her following his departure from This Morning in May 2023. Cornwall holds a special place in Phillip Schofield's heart, as it was there he confided in his mother Pat about being gay before telling the world in 2020. Recalling her reaction, he said: "I went down to see her, she's in Cornwall, and I told her and she said, 'Oh, ok, well, I don't care' - and that's the same with everyone.

" The TV favourite has shared many light-hearted moments with his mum, like a hilarious text exchange after she had her nails done and struggled to type, saying: "No I know but I hate the...

," prompting Phillip to joke: "Mess? Loooool. I'll finish your sentence for you." To which Pat replied: "Mess sorry had my nails done now I can't type.
