Four years ago, before its historic performance in the 2020 general election, the Green Party published an election manifesto which clearly showed where it stood on issues facing the transgender community.

Four years ago, before its historic performance in the 2020 general election, the Green Party published an election manifesto which clearly showed where it stood on issues facing the transgender community. The party said it supported amending the Gender Recognition Act to allow children aged 16 and 17 self-declare their own gender without their parents’ consent. They also wanted to introduce a system of gender recognition for children under the age of 16.
