The Philadelphia 76ers entered the 2024-2025 season with high expectations. Following the offseason acquisition of Paul George, to play alongside former MVP, Joel Embiid, and reigning Most Improved Player, Tyrese Maxey, it quickly became championship or bust for the 76ers. Bust, so far it has been.

Despite the Philadelphia 76ers horrid start to the season, things seemed to be headed in the right direction on Wednesday. The 'Big 3' of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey were set to suit up for the first time together against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 'Big 3' did in fact start the game together against the Grizzlies in Memphis, however, only 2 would finish Wednesday's game.

Paul George left the game early in the second half after hyperextending his left knee (the same knee he hyperextended in the preseason). Check out the play here: pic.twitter.

com/Jt6XNlcB5P Further testing will be done on Thursday, but George hyperextended the same knee in the preseason, causing him to miss the team's opening five games of the season. The 76ers organization and fanbase will certainly hold their breaths collectively, as they'll hope there isn't any structural damage to George's knee. While the 76ers are only 14 games into their season, they've without a doubt been the league's biggest disappointment.

Their 2-12 record (they lost to the Grizzlies 117-111) is the worst record in the NBA, they're only 14 games into a 4-year, $211.5 million contract with George, and Joel Embiid seems to not be worth the price of admission with each day's passing.
