Chennai: A post-graduate medical student was found charred to death inside his house at Melmaruvathur on Thursday morning. Police suspect it to be case of suicide. Police said R Kumaragurubaran, 31, of Cheyyur, a bachelor, was pursuing his MD at a private medical college in Porur.
He was living with his father Rajendran and mother Bhagyalakshmi. He complained to his father that he was unable to cope with the stress in studies. On Wednesday, Rajendran went to visit his daughter, while his wife went to the temple.
When they returned home on Thursday, they found him charred to death. On information, Achirapakkam police registered a case and sent the body to Chengalpet govt hospital for autopsy. Police are trying to find out whether it was a case of suicide.
