Former TV chef Pete Evans, who fell from grace, has advertised a “unique and tranquil” Airbnb getaway through a messaging app. The ex-My Kitchen Rules judge promoted a Byrill Creek, NSW property for short stays over the summer via Telegram to his 41.8 thousand subscribers.

“Our Airbnb is available to book over the November-January period for short-term adventures,” Evans wrote. The Airbnb has received only five-star reviews since July 2023, with contributors donning the stay as a relaxing ‘health retreat’. The 51-year-old advertised the property as a private getaway surrounded by nature, offering “a clearlight sauna, odin ice bath, mineral spa, magnesium pool and numerous mountain spring water swimming holes”.

The promotion comes after the disgraced chef and his partner Nicola Robinson successfully secured an offer for their Northern Rivers wellness retreat. According to Realestate.com.

au, it consists of a main house plus seven cabins, which they have run as Evolve Sanctuary. Jet Real Estate agent Tania Sheppard said the property — which can accommodate 17 people — was “a leader in wellness tourism with a strong cashflow”. “Seldom do profitable retreat businesses with significant landholdings such as Evolve Sanctuary change hands,” the marketing noted.

The property was offered with the potential to establish a new business or to enter into a rental arrangement with Evans to continue operating the retreat. The businessman — who also owns several popular restaurants — recently made a major change to his appearance. Evans had been sporting a mullet with shaved sides for a while before dying it blonde.

He has kept a low profile after his opinions on COVID and wellness landed him in hot water. Evans was alsp fined $80,000 in 2021 for selling unproven COVID treatments online..
